WELCOME TO THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE

The Alexander Technique is a practical way to reduce pain and discomfort, improve postural habits and fine-tune balance and body co-ordination, leaving you free to enjoy the things in life you love.

Used the world over by leading performers in the fields of music, sport, drama, singing and dance, the Technique encourages greater freedom of movement and reduced tension through the whole body, improving performance levels and reducing the risk of joint pain, Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSIs) and other musculoskeletal injuries.

Employed by multinational companies including Google and the BBC to help staff cope with the challenges of office life, the technique also stretches into fields as diverse as running, cycling, horse riding and helping mothers-to-be through their pregnancy.

The technique is not a therapy but a means of education. A series of lessons will teach you to incorporate the Alexander Technique into your daily life and enable you to have greater control over your own health and wellbeing. It is a skill that can help free us from automatic repetition of habit and provides us with choices of how we want to move, think and live our lives.
